El sueño de unir las dos orillas del Estrecho de Gibraltar, la ilusión de contar este lugar, histórico, recóndito y particular, a través de una carrera de montaña por etapas.
Vivir como se llevó a cabo fue emocionante, pero la idea de pensar en volver a vivirlo lo es, aún más.
Después de tres años, volveremos a cruzar los 14k que unen el Estrecho, para convivir y conocer la orilla sur, sus colores, la hospitalidad de nuestros vecinos marroquíes, y recorrer la media maratón del Jbel Musa, la mole de piedra caliza que aloja nuestra Skyrace. 21K y 1.400mD+ os esperan en un recorrido técnico, sin descanso, pura montaña, en Belyounech, entre Tánger y M´Diq.
Continuaremos, el día de nuestra vuelta a suelo europeo, con una bonita y eléctrica crono individual por las calles, río y bosques de Jimena de la Frontera, 6K y 260mD+ divertidos al atardecer, para continuar con la aventura en el pueblo blanco del Campo de Gibraltar.
En el ecuador del evento, nos espera el pueblo de Estación de Gaucín, en el municipio de Cortes de la Frontera (Málaga), donde os espera la etapa más larga del evento, 25K y 1.000mD+ entre los parques naturales de Grazalema y Alcornocales, entre la piedra y los bosques, con senderos junto al río Guadiario, trepadas y tramos por las tradicionales vías de saca del corcho, una industria tradicional de la zona.
Y nos espera un último día de infarto, con dos etapas en la última jornada. La primera, por la mañana, una media maratón preciosa por los bosques mediterráneos del Parque Natural los Alcornocales de Algeciras (Cádiz), disfrutando de sus senderos técnicos, sus pistas rápidas, de las impresionantes vistas del Estrecho. 21K y 1.100mD+ para esta cuarta etapa gaditana.
Y en la tarde del 1 de Noviembre, cierre y fin de fiesta en Gibraltar, con una corta, preciosa y exigente etapa de 5K y 500mD+ recorriendo las calles de la peculiar ciudad del peñón, los senderos del Upper Rock Natural Reserve, el puente colgante Windsor y cerrando tu participación eurafricana en el punto mas elevado de la roca: O´Hara´s Battery, con una increíble panorámica de este lugar bello y salvaje que es el Estrecho, en el que has moldeado la medalla intercontinental que recibirás en la cueva de St Michael, en el interior del mítico Mos Calpe.

The dream of uniting the two shores of the Strait of Gibraltar, the illusion of telling the story of this historic, remote and unique place through a mountain race divided in different legs.
Experiencing how it was carried out was exciting, but the thought of living it again is even more so.
After three years, we will once again cross the 14k that links the Strait of Gibraltar, to live and get to know the southern shore, its colours, the hospitality of our Moroccan neighbours, and to run the half marathon of the Jbel Musa, the limestone mass that houses our Skyrace. 21K and 1,400mD+ await you on a technical route, without rest, pure mountain, in Belyounech, between Tangier and M’Diq.
We will continue, on the day of our return to European soil, with a beautiful and electric individual time trial through the streets, river and forests of Jimena de la Frontera, 6K and 260mD+ fun at sunset, to continue the adventure in the white village of Campo de Gibraltar.
At the halfway point of the event, the village of Estación de Gaucín awaits us, in the municipality of Cortes de la Frontera (Málaga), where the longest leg of the event awaits you, 25K and 1,000mD+ between the natural parks of Grazalema and Alcornocales, between stone and forest, with trails along the Guadiaro River, climbs and stretches along the traditional cork extraction routes, a traditional industry in the area.
nd a final day of heart-racing awaits us, with two legs on the last day. The first, in the morning, a beautiful half marathon through the Mediterranean forests of the Alcornocales de Algeciras Natural Park (Cádiz), enjoying its technical trails, its fast tracks and the breathtaking views of the Strait of Gibraltar. 21K and 1.100mD+ for this fourth leg in Cádiz.
And on the afternoon of the 1st of November, closing ceremony and grand finale in Gibraltar, with a short, beautiful and demanding leg of 5K and 500mD+ through the streets of the peculiar city of the Rock, the trails of the Upper Rock Natural Reserve, the Windsor Suspension Bridge and closing your Eurafrican participation at the highest point of the Rock: O’Hara’s Battery, with an incredible panoramic view of this beautiful and wild place that is the Strait, where you have moulded the intercontinental medal that you will receive in St Michael’s Cave, inside the mythical Mos Calpe.
